A senior official of Kaduna State Peace Commission, (KAPECOM) Malam Saleh B Momale, has said that traditional leaders at the District, Village and Ward levels have positive roles to play in supporting their communities to effectively resolve all disputes and misunderstanding.

Speaking at an interactive session organized for traditional leaders on conflict mitigation and peacebuilding, Momale explained that since communities need to cordially co-exist, this can best be achieved with harmonious relations.

According to him, traditional leaders at all levels are critical actors in conflict management and mitigation, hence, the need to provide them with requisite capacity and skills to effectively manage and resolve conflicts in their communities.
