Kaduna State Peace Commission’s engagement with development partners and strategic stakeholders is bearing positive results, according to Chairman of Kajuru Peace and Reconciliation Committee, Mr. Patrick Maigari.

Maigari told newsmen at an interactive session that Kajuru was an example of how much effort KAPECOM has put in the drive to build peace, reconciliation, mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence, and trust amongst the people in the local government area.

KAPECOM has organized capacity building programmes for Kajuru local government area as well as helped trained tens of volunteers and stakeholders who are now engaged in peacemaking efforts.

Similarly, KAPECOM had earlier in the year organized interactive sessions and interfaced with candidates that participated in the March general elections. It was able to bring together not only the critical actors, but also security agencies, traditional rulers, youth and women groups as well.
